I always knew I wanted to work in health care so I pursued Masters degrees in Business and Health Administration in order to support clinical teams providing great service.

After graduating from the University of Michigan, I managed urgent care and occupational health clinics. I joined the Trumpet team in 2015 to provide support to our clinical teams as they deliver excellent service to our consumers and their families.

I began working with school age children for the City of Monterey in 1995 during a Summer Recreation Program and have continued to work throughout the City of Monterey providing community services. I graduated from Monterey High School in 1997. I then went on to study at California State University, Chico and obtained my BA in Child Development in 2001 with a Minor in Psychology. After graduation in 2001 I worked as a Master Teacher/Director for a child development center and in 2002 opened my own Preschool/Day Care. 2004 got into the Mental Health field working as a Day Treatment Counselor from there went on to co-develop the RISE program (Reaching Independence Through Sustainable Employment) a employment program for adolescence. I also during that time worked as a Transitional Housing Program Specialist teaching life skills to adolescence exiting out of Foster Care. In 2006 went back to teaching at a Child Development center. I started working for Trumpet Behavioral in 2013 as an ABA Therapist and today I am the Site Director for the Trumpet Academy.

Philosophy of Care

Proving education and therapy is my passion. My wide variety of experiences allow me work with a range of different members of the community. I was introduced to ABA when my son was showing signs of Autism. I was very involved in his therapeutic plan. I had Therapists show me the programs and was able to continue working with him when his therapy ended. I personally love doing this because I have a son who is Autistic. Working with kids, developing their skills, and the feeling of satisfaction I receive from this cannot be put into words. Any kind of difference I can make in a child’s/parent’s life is just what that is…A difference. I am thrilled that I am able to give back what was given to me.

I have always enjoyed working with children. In 2002 I attended the University of San Francisco, where I received a BA in psychology, General Education Teaching Credentials and a Masters in Education. In 2007 I moved to Santa Cruz where I worked in an elementary school with students on the Autism Spectrum. I immediately went back to school to pursue a Level 2 Teaching Credential to work with students with Moderate to Severe disabilities. I worked as a teacher in Watsonville with elementary school students on the Autism Spectrum for 5 years. More recently I began schooling through Florida Institute of Technology to pursue my BCBA. I am currently finishing up schooling at FIT and working at Trumpet Behavioral Health as an Associate Clinician.
