Years Working in Field: 6

I began working with children with autism and developmental disabilities during an internship for my undergraduate degree. During this internship, I was introduced to behavior analysis and decided to pursue a master’s degree in behavior analysis. At Western Michigan University, I gained clinical experience working with a variety of clients. I was also able to gain experience providing therapy in a variety of settings including in a school, center, and in-home. I am excited to continue my knowledge and experience in the field as part of the Trumpet Team!

M.A. in Behavior Analysis, Western Michigan University, 2014
B.A. in Psychology, Grand Valley State University, 2011

Philosophy of Care

During my internship at Grand Valley State, I fell in love with the field of behavior analysis and providing therapy to children with autism. I utilize the principles of applied behavior analysis to provide best practice using evidence based interventions and decisions.  I have seen the powerful effects of behavior analysis and believe that every individual can learn, grow, and become independent through ABA. when provided with an individualized plan that is geared towards their own strengths and weaknesses.
