Trumpet Behavioral Health Opens Chicago Autism Center
For parents of children with Autism in Chicago, finding a center-based autism provider has been simplified.
Trumpet Behavioral Health will open doors to a new Chicago Autism Center on Monday, March 24th.
The new location at 3851 W. Devon Ave. will provide intensive educational and behavioral services.
Trumpet specializes in the treatment of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities and currently provides center-based, school-based and in-home services in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Wyoming through a team of over 700 passionate and highly-skilled individuals which include PhD, BCBA®, and BCaBA® providers.
Services in the Chicago Autism Center are provided through a circle of care that includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA®s) and therapists who collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, families, and most importantly, each person with ASD that is served.
Chris Miller, Managing Director at Trumpet Behavioral Health, highlights the need for more service providers in the City of Chicago.
“Our new center enables us to grow awareness and acceptance of autism while opening the door to enhanced development for children with autism throughout the city. Together, working with local agencies, parent groups and resource providers, we will deliver expert services and evidence-based therapy to effectively maximize the potential of every client we serve directly and indirectly.”
Trumpet Behavioral Health’s clinical services are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a systematic, evidence-based approach designed to address challenging behaviors and skill deficits in several areas including communication and social skills.
ABA therapy is widely recognized as the most effective treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other exceptional behavioral needs, and is endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General, American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Paige Raetz, BCBA-D, Clinical Director of the Chicago Autism Center, acknowledges Trumpet’s new center as beneficial for families of children with Autism.
“The CDC notes that roughly 1 in 88 children are identified with an ASD, and Chicago families face this reality every day. My team and I are well positioned to help consumers navigate the journey toward skill development, and we look forward to meeting the many unique individuals needing services throughout the city.”
