Six-Week Instructional Program
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Six-Week Program for Parents
Trumpet Behavioral Health offers autism education for parents during this course, typically offered in eight weekly sessions. You’ll learn a complete set of non-coercive procedures to help change your child’s challenging behavior based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We’ll also teach you how to increase desirable alternative behavior.
Our autism therapy experts lead each session through lectures, real life examples and group problem-solving discussions. We keep class sizes small to make sure you get individual attention and have the opportunity to talk about your child. In the weekly sessions, we’ll cover practical topics in autism treatment such as the power of rewarding desirable behavior, what to do about out-of-control behavior, redirection and behavioral contracting. You’ll also receive up to two hours of consultation to help you apply the skills at home with your child.
Additionally, we offer both whole and half-day workshops as well as many shorter seminars on topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). These workshops are especially helpful for parents or caregivers. No matter your background or knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you’ll gain helpful information that can readily be applied to your child. Many of our participants discover that they have learned enough from these presentations to solve many of their child’s mild autistic behaviors on their own. Topics include potty training, toddler tantrums and social skills.
