Trumpet Team Members Give Thanks in 2014
Trumpet Behavioral Health is thankful for the opportunity to serve many unique consumers across the country.
The mission of our organization is continually furthered by the individual team members who spend each day working to maximize the potentials of the consumers we serve.
In light of the Thanksgiving holiday, we asked a number of our team members what they were thankful for this year. Here’s what they had to say.
Allison Hensel – Clinician | Phoenix, AZ
I am thankful for my fiancé, who is my best friend, supports me, and makes me smile everyday! I am thankful for my family and for how much we have been able to see each other even living so far away. I am thankful for friends who I have had since high school and for the amount we have been able to keep in touch ever since. Finally, I am thankful for all of the wonderful people I have met and experiences I have had here at Trumpet Behavioral Health!
Alyssa McElroy – Clinician | San Jose, CA
First and foremost, I am thankful that I get to come to work every day and feel rewarded for my efforts. I am thankful for the opportunity to make a difference, however big or small, in the lives of the families I work with. I feel grateful for a strong work community who supports my endeavors, praises my accomplishments and continues to provide opportunities for growth in skill and knowledge. I am grateful for the challenges I am afforded to face and the understanding to know that I make a positive impact with every life I touch.
Brittany Bilodeau – Support Services Manager | Ft. Collins, CO
This year I am thankful for my wonderful husband and son. This has been a VERY busy year and my husband never stops amazing me! He is kind, thoughtful and always does the little things in life that make me smile. I am also thankful for my 2.5 year old son Kalin. He is quite the busy bee. He loves life and even in the most busy and hectic times he makes me stop to appreciate the small and amazing things in this life.
Chris Miller – Managing Director | Lakewood, CO
The list is numerous, but I am thankful to be surrounded at work by a team of world-class individuals. I am thankful to be serving a cause that helps improve the lives of families in need across the country. I am thankful that I have fun in my job!
I am also thankful for the health of my family, the safety of our country, and for spicy jalapenos.
Emily Patrizi – Clinical Director | Colorado Springs, CO
I am thankful for my family and for the incredible colleagues I work with on a daily basis, who feel like an extended family! I am so fortunate to work with a group of people who are compassionate about their profession and dedicated to the field of ABA. On a daily basis, we challenge one another and collaborate to maximize the potential of the consumers we serve!
Jessie Mitchell – Principal | Trumpet Academy, Honolulu, HI
I am thankful for our team that believes we can and have made a difference everyday we come to work; our work family is rich and diverse. For the families that trust us with their treasured children, as the children are our Raison D’etre. For the people who run the programs and collect data with fidelity and integrity, this is the answer to our daily prayer. Graphs that reflect the progress we have made provide the motivation to continue on.
Ahuwale ka po `okela I kau hana ia ha `i which is Hawaiian for “It is through the way you serve others that your greatness will be felt.”
Lani Fritts – Managing Director | San Mateo, CA
I’m thankful for my family and the positive and supportive relationships I have in my life, especially my wife, Zara, and my three kids, Keaton, Tatum, and Fletcher. I’m thankful for the opportunity that I have to work with great people, who are making amazing positive changes in the lives of many thousands of others. I’m thankful to live in the United States. Notwithstanding many dysfunctions and imperfections, we take for granted the opportunity to advocate openly for what we value because it is an inherent right to stand up for what we believe. In the medium and long run, if we are persuasive enough in our effort we can make a difference and make change. Citizens of most other countries in the world do not have these basic rights.
Lisa Houseworth – Clinical Director | Dayton, OH
Elizabeth Peace – Clinical Director | Pleasanton, CA
I’m thankful for a healthy baby, amazing coworkers who will keep things going amazingly in my absence, and the opportunity to spend a good deal of time with my family this holiday season.
